Biography contributed by Katherine Blakeley

Hannah McIntosh was born about 1863 in Scotland.

She emigrated to New Zealand in the early 1880s and she married Patrick McGee, a labourer, in 1887.

They had six children and when Hannah signed the suffrage petition the family were living in Green Island, near Dunedin.

Patrick died in 1931 and Hannah died at her home on 24 December 1935, they are buried in the family grave in the Green Island Cemetery.
