Biography contributed by Katherine Blakeley

Isabella McKenzie was born about 1836 in Scotland.

She emigrated to Otago on the Brechin Castle arriving in January 1864 and, on 3 February that year, she married John Campbell, a carpenter.

They had five children and when Isabella signed the suffrage petition the family were living in Gladstone Rd, North East Valley, Dunedin.

John died at their home in 1911 and Isabella died on 26 October 1919, they are buried in the family grave in the Andersons Bay Cemetery.
