Louisa Kleeber was born in 1871 in New Zealand – the daughter of Christian William Kleeber, a seaman and Ann Carmichael. (See 297 Ann Kleeber)
She married Frank Karon, a seaman from Hungary, in 1891 and they had four children.
Their first children, Bruce and Vida, were twins who died at the age of five and six weeks.
When Louisa signed the suffrage petition the family were living in George St, Dunedin.
In the 1910s they moved to Christchurch where Frank died in 1919.
Louisa died on 7 February 1924, they are buried together in the Bromley Cemetery.
