Biography contributed by Katherine Blakeley
Eliza/Elizabeth Watson married William McMillan in 1861.
They lived in Milton, South Otago and had seven children, three of who died in infancy.
William died suddenly in 1879, the day that he was released from jail after undergoing a sentence for drunkenness.
He is buried in the Milton Cemetery.
Elizabeth and her children later moved to Dunedin and were living in Arthur St when she signed the suffrage petition.
Elizabeth seems to disappear from the records after this, it is not known where or when she died.
