Cassie Crawford Tweedie was born about 1859 in County Tyrone, Ireland.
She emigrated to New Zealand about 1872 and married Robert Ferguson, a bootmaker, in 1882.
They had six children and when Cassie signed the suffrage petition the family were living in Cumberland St, Dunedin.
Robert died in 1913 and Cassie died on 19 January 1916, they are buried in the family grave in the Northern Cemetery.
