Biography contributed by Katherine Blakeley

Elizabeth was born about 1849 in Scotland.

She married William Watson Brown, an electrical linesman. They had at least three children (due to the number of births with these parents’ names it is impossible to find any other children).

When Elizabeth signed the suffrage petition, the family was living at Elm Row, Dunedin.

Elizabeth died on 4 June 1920 and William died in 1931. They are buried together in the Andersons Bay Cemetery, Dunedin.
