Marion May Alberta Baxter was born about 1875 - she married Matthew Daniel Wreathall, a commercial traveller, on 17 March 1886 in Dunedin.

They had two children and when Marion signed the suffrage petition she was living in George St, Dunedin.

Shortly after they moved to Christchurch where Matthew was adjudged bankrupt in 1903.

Marion died at Palmerston North on 2 October 1933 and Matthew died two months later, they are buried together in the Bromley Cemetery, Christchurch.
