Agnes Muirhead was born in 1870 in New Zealand – the daughter of Robert Muirhead, a farmer, and Catherine Waddell.
When she signed the suffrage petition Agnes was living with her family in Mosgiel south of Dunedin.
She married David Grant, a farmer, on 16 October 1903 at her parent’s home in Mosgiel - they had two daughters and lived at Lovell’s Flat in South Otago.
Agnes died on 22 May 1942 at her residence 'Hazelrigg', Crichton and David died in 1962, they are buried with their daughters in the East Taieri Cemetery.
