Biography contributed by Katherine Blakeley

Agnes Ann Sparrow was born in 1869 in New Zealand – the daughter of Joseph Sparrow, a boilermaker, and Robina Mackay. (See 122 Mrs Joseph Sparrow)

When Agnes signed the suffrage petition she was living with her family in Havelock St, Mornington.

She married Lancelot Henry John Frapwell, a monumental mason, on 30 November 1897 at the Mornington Wesleyan Church and they had four children.

Lancelot died in 1933 and Agnes died on 16 December 1969, at the age of 100.

She was cremated and her ashes interred with her husband in the family grave in the Andersons Bay Cemetery.
