The 1893 electoral roll confirms -Violet Nellie Walker St tailoress

Violet Nellie Cameron was born in 1868 in New Zealand — the daughter of Duncan McIntyre Cameron and Alison Hamilton. (See 61 Alison H Cameron)
When she signed the suffrage petition Violet was living with her family in, Dunedin working as a tailoress.
She married John Proctor, a farmer, on 9 June 1903 in Dunedin, they had three sons and lived at N E Harbour.
Violet died at her sister’s home in Melville St, Dunedin on 9 August 1914 and John died in 1942, they are buried together in the Andersons Bay Cemetery.
