Farming locality 19km north-west of Timaru. There is a memorial here marking the place where a flock of sheep were taken - believed stolen from the Rhodes brothers - and later found in possession of the Scottish shepherd James McKenzie.

Taiko was a Māori who worked for the pastoralist Rhodes brothers.
